Families are drawn to Rayleigh for its excellent range of education options including seven primary schools and two secondary schools. Just over a mile on foot from Wolsey Park, Sweyne Park School is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, while Good rated primary schools including Down Hall and St Nicholas C of E school are also within walking distance.

There is a choice of independent schools in the wider area such as Brentwood School. Further education is also on offer close by with a campus of the University of Essex in Southend, Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, as well as South Essex College based in Southend-on-Sea.
